Pradhyumansinh Jadeja was elected as MLA from Abdasa on 18 December 2017 as a candidate of the Indian National Congress in the 14th Gujarat Assembly. During his time as an opposition MLA, his attendance in the assembly was 85.9%, which was close to the state average. He also took part in 34 debates during the assembly term.
In March 2020, during political developments in Gujarat ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections, he resigned along with some other Congress MLAs. Later, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in June 2020 and resigned from the assembly in September 2020 to contest the Abdasa by-election as a BJP candidate.
The by-election was held on 3 November 2020. Pradhyumansinh Jadeja won the election with 71,848 votes. He defeated Congress candidate Barkat Senghani by a margin of 36,778 votes.
In the 2022 Gujarat Assembly elections, he again won from Abdasa with 80,195 votes. In that election, he defeated Congress candidate Jat Mamad Jung by 9,431 votes.
